We sent our son to Hope for Teens the end of May. He was rebellious, withdrawn, angry, had no purpose or drive and was in bondage to sin. He wasn't happy to be there at first and pretty angry that we sent him. But over the weeks, God softened his heart and he finally decided he needed God in his life. He accepted Christ as Saviour and we have seen miraculous changes in him since then. He loves God, wants to serve him with all his heart, is joyful and experiencing freedom from his bondage to sin!!! Praise God. He is learning how to deal with his anger and temptations. He is developing strong relationships with people who mentor him and keep him accountable and he has a real purpose in life now. He is no longer believing the lies of satan! It is a joy to be with him and see those changes in action. God did above and beyond anything we could ask or think!

It was hard to let him go but I knew that was the only hope for him. He needed to be broken to the point where he saw his need for God. And now the staff is there to help him grow and become successful in life. He is learning how to fight back when satan comes with his lies. And he is having victory! Praise God!!!!

Little did I know that my own personal journey with God was going to begin more than one year ago. My life, as I knew it, was about to change when we made the decision to send our 16 year old son to a place we knew very little about. That place was Hope for Teens and their Second Chance program.

Within 36 hours of making that initial call, Jonathan was rescued out of a fruitless situation and was safely brought to Arizona. If there was ever a time I felt that I had failed as a parent it was while he was being driven away to a different state! Yet, through it all, I had that “peace of God” that surpasses all understanding. I knew that everything was going to be alright because it was God that got Jonathan here in the first place. Only He could have known that our circumstances over the last 4 years was what it was going to take to compel me to completely and finally surrender it all to Him!

We all know the enemy is a liar and a deceiver, yet he managed to convince me that not even God could take care of or love my children as much as I could! So letting go of them was going to be one of the hardest things that God would ever ask me to do!

But Jesus, being so true to His word, has given us so much more than we deserve! It was in that place and time in my life that I would learn two very important things.

First, I would come to realize that my hope, peace and joy would never be found in the things of this world! And secondly, that God loved and could take care of my children so much more than I was ever capable of doing!

In His great compassion and love for our family, He has revealed His amazing grace and endless mercy through these trials. He never gave up on any of us though there were many times that I would grow weary and wanted to give up on Him!

I stand here today unashamed and give God all the glory, honor, and praise for His goodness! Without Him, I am nothing! But with Him, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

I cannot end my testimony without acknowledging and thanking Bobby and Ceci for being the servants of Christ that God has called you to be.

Your passion and desire to help release us all into a fulfilled life in Christ is so evident! Through Jesus, you have helped change the lives of so many, including my own, and I WILL FOREVER BE INDEBTED!

Bobby, the gift of wisdom and clear understanding that God has given you has been such a tremendous blessing to us all! I have greatly benefited from your Life Coaching and have seen dramatic changes because of your keen, godly insight!

You have helped Bruce and I understand the changes that we needed to make not only as parents, but as children of God. Although we are still a “work in progress” we finally realize now what it means to “walk by faith and not by sight”.

This has been an incredible learning and growing process and one that I will always cherish and take with me wherever I go.

As for all the young men and women here, including my own kids, you have been and are such an inspiration to me! To hear where God has brought you out of and where He is taking you fills my heart with joy! I would be and am so proud to call each of you my sons and daughters! I know that God’s hope and redemption can be found in other places. But I can honestly say that for me and my house it was found in this little, unassuming church in Phoenix!

We are NOT perfect.

But here in this place we love, serve, and worship a PERFECT God!

Thank you, Jesus!

This past weekend we got the news that Leslie was in jail and I fell in such despair that I could not function. What I thought was my worst nightmare was really God's divine intervention in my sons life. Leslie was saved when he was 10 and in his early teen years he began to head in a destructive path. We felt totally hopeless and helpless to reach him. We have bailed him out a couple of times before but it didn't seem to help., in fact, things progressively got worse for him. I truely believe that God loves him so much that he literlly put a stop to where he was headed by this last arrest. Through many tears and crying out to God, I began asking for wisdom. I was trying to work and all the sudden I felt that I needed to find a christian rehab for Leslie to get him some help. I did a google search and found Hope 4 Teens. Out of all the programs, this one lept off the page. I was really drawn to it. My husband stopped by and the site was still up and he was drawn to the site too. For the first time I felt like there was hope. We began talking to our Attny. and trying to see if he could leave the state to enroll in in this program. The wheels of justice move very slow, and we did not know how long the process would take to get him there. My husband and I decided to let Les fall onto God's alter and release him from our control. Once we did, the wheels of justice began to turn quickly. Within 24 hrs. Les was released into Bobby's custody to fly from Texas to Phoenix. I got the phone call last night that they arrived and Les got on the phone and told us that he might want to stay and get involved into the music program and possibly get a job there after he completes the program. He did not want to go at first, but just from the time they left Texas God did major things with Leslie. We are so humbled before God and in complete awe. I believed that God was going to do a work in his life but I had no idea just how fast he would move. They had just landed in Phoenix and stopped to eat when I got the phone call from Les letting us know they made it there. I could not believe my ears when I heard Les say that he thought he might stay and get a fresh new start. He was excited about playing drums / guitar in the music program there and thought he might try to get a job there later. Now I expected a miracle from God during this whole process but I never thought that He would move that fast. I was talking to my son again for the first time in years. He was laughing and excited about his new life. I just wanted to give God the glory and praise for the great and mighty things he has done for all of us and can' wait to see what he has in store for Leslie. Thank you God and Thank you to both Bobby's for rescuing my son. I am foverer grateful for Hope 4 Teens. God bless all of you for serving God in this ministry. A special thanks goes to Aston for sitting up with me on the phone all night trying to get my son help. I love you all!

I have to say that Bobby is BLESSED. I have known Bobby and his family for 10 years. The amazing thing is that he has been instrumental in delivering HEALING AND MIRACLE in situations that defied the imagination.

No less than 5 times have I and my family been privy to incredible, supernatural events that boggle the mind.

And, let me say this, I am ROCK, a person who believed I was the master of my destiny..

Just last week another miracle occurred.

After 4 years in a court battle that went through three separate courts, involved several of the largest television ministries in the land, with 5 justices on the last case alone, with the odds stacked against me, with one of the most gifted trial counselors against me, the trial began and ended in FIVE minutes with victory for me and mine...

And then, I revceived an email from Bobby, the day after...

INCREDIBLE is all I can say in this small post!@!@!

The LORD in SHOCK & AWE!

We are in victory again.

I would like to say WHO I am, and then you would know that my accolades of the miracle of blessings delivered through the prayer of the Toress family were of a burning bush anointed....

God Bless you and yours my brother

wow! It's so great to see all the lives that this ministry has touched! I was raised in a southern, God-fearin' home but never really knew my Maker. It was when I was 16 and came out to Arizona for a 3 week Spiritual Boot Camp that God really showed me who He was! You can check out my profile for a more detailed version of what God's brought me out of! (http://www.lifespace.cc/profile/ashleynelson)

My name is Drew Peacock and I'm 24 years old and I am originally from Mississippi. If you know Evan,Wes, and Kayla, they are my cousins. They are the ones that helped introduce me to spiritlife church. My testimony begins like alot of others you may have heard. I was raised in a Christian family. I was baptised when I was 12 and again when I was 17. When I was really young I was introduced to pornography(I was only 11!) I really started getting addicted to it when I became a teen and it had been on my mind all the time. I would do whatever I could to watch porn, even breaking into relatives houses to rent pay-per-view and looking it up on the Internet. About 2 or 3 years ago I started to get into marijuana because I thought it was cool and I loved the feeling of being high. After I got caught with some at work, my mom asked me if I thought I should come here. Of course, at first, I didn't like the idea because I still wanted to do things that made me feel good. God spoke to me while I was sleeping and he told me to not hesitate and to make plans to come to Arizona. The wierd thing is that Evan didn't even know what was going on with me, but he got this strange feeling that I needed to be down here. God has done so much with me since the short time I've been down here that I decided to really get baptised for the right reason about 3 weeks ago.
